Construction Process

Step 1: Initial, no cost consultation

• Meet with us to review and discuss the scope of your project.
• Mutually decide if we are a good fit; give approval to move forward

Step 2: Planning & Design

• If planning and design is required, we can help spearhead the process for you. Dusel Custom Builders has an in-house designer who would be happy to work with you.
• We also have access to and history working with a talented pool of designers and architects. If you have your own designer or architect, we are happy to work with them.
• Dusel Custom Builders will provide a free initial estimate.

Step 3: Design Evaluation & Cost Approval

• Dusel custom Builders will provide a no cost consultation to review the estimate.
• If modifications are needed, Dusel Custom Builders will provide additional estimates for a fee.
• Finalize preliminary design.
• Agree on a budget price; move forward to final construction drawings.
• Sign construction contract with builder.

Step 4: Project Planning and Logistics

• Dusel Custom Builders begins permitting process.
• Your Project Manager lines up all materials, labor, & equipment prior to construction.
• Review project schedule and set a time for weekly meetings with lead carpenter and project manager.
• Receive Homeowner’s notebook.

Step 5: Construction & Supervision

• Weekly meetings with Lead Carpenter and Project Manager ensure quality customer satisfaction.
• Lead carpenter manages day to day operations of the project, making sure we are on schedule and on budget.

Step 6: Final Inspections, Move-in

• At project completion, a thorough clean-up and inspection.
• Conduct a final walkthrough together.
• Enjoy your new home!
